Gary and Judy to Colorado

It didn't take a lot of arm twisting to load Gary and Judy on a jet and fly them to the Rocky Mountains to hang with the Colorado Lanes. Five days of family time, the kids athletics, a driving tour around Pike's Peak to see the fall colors, some gambling up at Cripple Creek and vegging out on the back deck were highlights.

Katie had a great game and Tyler's team moved to 4-0 with a final score inside the last minute of the game. Cassi was able come down from Boulder and spend the whole weekend with us.

At the bottom, Judy 'took care' of the kiddos with Halloween masks!

Enjoy the pics......

Bryce to Texas for Bible School....TBI

After a lot of praying and pondering, Bryce decided to attend Texas Bible Institute in Columbus, Texas this year. Bryce and I drove down to Mimi's, hauling his motorcycle (where he left it) and then on to Columbus the next day to move him into his dorm. He is really enjoying it and having fun.

Bryce's 20th

Bryce turned twenty years old today. We started off with a lazy morning, sleeping in. Audra spoiled the boy with chocolate chip pancakes.

Through out the day, Bryce worked on his car, rotating the tires, washing and giving it a good wax.

Lunch found us at PF Changs.

The afternoon was a lazy one with NFL Football and grilled steaks & Brats.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend was fairly typical for the Colorado Lane's..... a lot of work and a lot of fun.

The weekend started off with Tyler's Football Game. The Falcons won 30-3. Tyler played outstanding at his Defensive End position with 3 sacks, 7 tackles and one blocked punt.
Next came Saturday, which was filled with nothing but labor. I cleaned the garage, put together a grill, did a new washer and finished up the crown molding in the kitchen and hallway.
Sunday found the kids sleeping in and Audra and I on a Motorcycle Ride, Adventure Style with plenty of dirt roads to explore and a nice couple to share the experience. Bob and Candy are locals with a similar passion to explore.

For years, Audra was highly successful at killing plants. She has found her "green thumb" lately and has the flowers blooming. We should enjoy these for another couple of weeks before the first freeze.
Bryce is getting his car ready to tow a motorcycle trailer. Bryce will be headed south to Bible School in a couple of weeks.
The last couple of years, Audra and I have enjoyed early morning launches of the Colorado Balloon Festival. This year, we sent Katie (with a friend) to the evening "Glow" event.
After 7 years of the "Colorado Pass" (Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Key Stone and A-Basin.... We decided we needed a change. This year, we pulled the trigger on a different pass, the "Rocky Mountain Pass". The RMP gives us skiing at Winter Park, Steamboat Springs, Mary Jane and Copper Mountain. Audra is ready to strap on the boots!!!!

Katie and Volleyball

Tonight, Audra and I enjoyed Katie's first Volleyball Game. She is a Sophomore and one of the top players on the JV. Katie is the team's setter. The game was up at Woodland Park, which made for a great drive up in the mountains to watch our little girl perform like a champ. Enjoy the pics!
