Maybe the Last Ride of the Year....

About once a month, Audra and I try to climb on the bike together and enjoy some time up in the mountains. In early October, we made our way up to Cripple Creek and the surrounding area. The highlight of the ride was an experience of the Victor Gold Mine. Yes, in one of the pics, where you see the little trucks in the bottom of the mine....yeah, they are the truck that is as big as the one that drove right by us. By the way, the tires on those trucks are about 15 feet tall. The pic above is of Audra in her Adventure Gear, standing in the bucket of one of the dumptrucks.

Riding Hartman Rocks and Tyler Throwing - Gunnison Trip

It was slated to be a beautiful weekend in Gunnison, at 8,000 feet, so Audra and I packed up and headed to the boys for the weekend. The plan was to simply hang out, watch Tyler in a 'throwing workout' and ride the bikes at Hartman Rocks, a single-track area just south of town.

Katie to Texas Bible Institute

Leaving early in the morning from Colorado, Audra and Katie leave on their drive to Columbus, Texas to take Katie to Texas Bible Institute for the year.

Bryce's 22nd Birthday in Gunnison

It was a divide and conquer for Audra and I, as she went to Texas with Katie and I rode my bike out to Gunnison to celebrate Bryce's Birthday. The trip was great, as I left on a Friday afternoon on the Vstrom, riding over Cottonwood Pass, down to Taylor Park and into Gunnison. Tyler was awesome, as he is working at Safeway, and brought home a birthday cake for Bryce. He was proud of his 'day old cake purchase'..... a $4 value. :) I hauled the gifts out on the bike. Mom and I gave him a GoPro video camera. Cassi, Sean and Katie gave him a KLIM Riding Shirt and Tyler gave him some SD cards for the GoPro. It was a really fun weekend.

Colorado Adventure Motorcycle 1000

For several years, I have dreamed of a ride around the state of Colorado, 7 days of exploration with tent camping. Finally, I was able to put together a ride, under the organization that I founded, Rocky Mountain Adventure Riders. The leadership of RMAR was able to attract 12 other riders from across the country to join us. We also raised $2,000 for the Trails Preservation Alliance.

Sean and Cassi Wedding

Audra and I must admit, the celebration was amazingly awesome, but it was difficult giving away our little girl. We are so proud and happy for Sean and Cassi and are excited to watch them enjoy a great life together.

RMAR Silverton, CO Rendezvous

Thankfully, with the creation of the American Motorcycle Association Riding Group, Rocky Mountain Adventure Riders..... I had some help this year with the big, annual event. The RMAR Rendezvous was based out of Silverton, Colorado at 10,000 feet elevation. With Sean and Cassi's wedding the following week, only Bryce, Aften and Tyler were able to join me and help. It was a great, three days of riding, food and socializing with over 200 Adventure Riders.

Audra and Katie to the Zoo

Audra is completely in love with Zoo's. She just loves the monkeys... I think they remind her of her little brother. On this day, she Kidnapped Katie to join her for the day at the Colorado Springs Zoo. You can see in the pics.... that they had a great time.

Bryce and Aften Engagement

Just as soon as we send Cassi off in life with Sean.... We get to celebrate the engagement of Bryce and Aften. We are so happy for them!

Hosting the Bridal Shower, Audra made the way for the girls to have a great time.
